Forever Forward

Our historic achievements through the Forever Orange Campaign show what happens when ambition meets ability. We succeeded because we believed in each other and a greater purpose: that a thriving Syracuse University creates limitless potential for everyone. And we’re just getting started.

We’ll continue investing in groundbreaking research, modern facilities and interdisciplinary programs that provide an unparalleled student experience and respond to society’s challenges. We’ll maintain a welcoming, inclusive learning environment that embraces diverse perspectives. We’ll nurture and empower the next generation of creators, innovators and entrepreneurs. We’ll expand our commitment to attracting the best and brightest students regardless of financial need. And we’ll ensure the proud traditions of Syracuse University Athletics carry on, with student athletes competing at the highest levels.

Attracting the Best and Brightest

Scholarships change lives and help students harness their full potential. With 82 percent of students receiving some form of financial aid, Syracuse University is committed to providing more resources and opportunities to alleviate financial burdens so students can focus on their academic pursuits. As we move beyond the campaign, we’ll remain focused on growing the endowment through more scholarships, research funds and other forms of financial support.

STEM Investment and Expansion

Through a combined $20 million investment by Syracuse University and Onondaga County, plans are underway to launch the Syracuse University Center for Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing, which will bring together expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, manufacturing processes, optimization and robotics to advance the science of semiconductor manufacturing. The center is part of a more than $100 million investment to strategically transform STEM and expand Syracuse’s College of Engineering and Computer Science over the next five years.

The new center will position the University and Central New York as a global leader in research and education on the intelligent manufacturing of semiconductors. The announcement came as Micron Technology continues its $100 billion investment in CNY, which is expected to create 50,000 new jobs in the region, including 9,000 high-paying jobs directly with Micron.

Excellence in Entrepreneurship

In November 2024, Syracuse University honored Orange ingenuity with two days of celebration, networking and a friendly pitch competition as part of the second ’CUSE50 Alumni Entrepreneur Awards.

The ceremony recognized honorees and culminated with a live reveal of the top 10 fastest-growing Orange businesses. The next day, honorees headlined the ’CUSE50 Summit, which allowed students to meet and network with them. The summit also included a “Six for Six” student pitch competition, where the top six campus innovation teams participated in a spirited “Shark Tank”-style format for a “winner take all” $6,000 grand prize selected by ’CUSE50 honorees.
